(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam city officials announced yesterday that two major reconstruction projects will get underway next month. Work on West Burnett Street is expected to begin on March 8 while Roosevelt Drive has a start date of March 23, weather permitting. West Burnett will be closed to through traffic between North Center and York streets. Roosevelt Drive will be closed between Webster Street and Park Avenue, though a temporary access road will be established off Hillcrest Drive to gain access to the nearby eye clinic and dental clinic. Both projects will see the removal and replacement of the existing pavement, curb and gutter, driveway aprons, sidewalk and underground utilities. Work is expected to be completed by the end of June, though city officials emphasize that the schedule will ultimately be determined by weather conditions.
