Beaver Dam Mayor Running Unopposed, Columbus To See New Mayor Elected

(Dodge County) We have additional filings following Tuesday’s deadline for candidates to submit their paperwork to run in the spring election.

In Beaver Dam, Mayor Becky Glewen will be the only name on the ballot come April. She is seeking her third term in office.

Incumbents on the Beaver Dam city council up for re-election will not face any challengers as well. They include David Hansen, Frank Ferree, Mick Fischer, Jack Yuds, Monica Keel, Kay Appenfeldt, and Kevin Burnett.

There is a contested aldermanic race in Waupun. District One has two candidates file papers: Jason Westphal and Karissa Smits.

District Three incumbent Will Langford is running unopposed and District Five incumbent Dan Siebers is also facing no challengers.

There will be a new mayor in Columbus as Mary Arnold has filed for non-candidacy. It will be a contested race between District One’s Ian Gray and Joe Hammer.

In District One, Sarah Motif will be running unopposed. There will be a contested race in District Three between Nate Anfinson and Molly Finkler as Shelly Albright has filed for non-candidacy.
