Beaver Dam Man Has Probation Revoked For Assault

4/25/17 – A Beaver Dam man convicted in connection with the violent assault of a teenage acquaintance is looking at prison time for violating the terms of his probation. Edward Linn tried to choke, punch, and bite the 15-year-old victim while forcing himself on her in November 2014.  She was able to fight him off and fled the residence.  Linn entered into a deferred prosecution agreement last year, which allowed him to avoid both prison time and having to register as a sex offender if he stayed out of trouble. The 23-year-old was placed on probation for two years and spent 60 days in jail. Linn had felony Bail Jumping charges filed against him last year for breaking probation last October and is facing the maximum penalty for the original Second Degree Child Sexual Assault. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and a hearing is on the calendar in July.
