Beaver Dam Man Placed Enters Plea Agreement On Fleeing CHarges

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man charged with running from police entered in to a plea agreement Tuesday. Gideon Kloske plead guilty to a felony count of Fleeing.

The court accepted the plea and placed Kloske into a deferred prosecution agreement, meaning he will avoid a felony record if he stays out of trouble while on probation for a year-and-a-half.

An officer clocked a vehicle speeding on North Spring Street in Beaver Dam in August. When the cop activated their emergency lights, the vehicle accelerated away. During the two-mile pursuit, police reached speeds of 103-miles-per-hour and still had difficulties keeping up.

The chase continued onto Ollinger Road where the suspect vehicle crashed into a farm field. The driver, identified as Kloske, was taken in to custody. He reportedly admitted to seeing the squad’s lights behind him and said (quote) “I should have just pulled over.”

The 22-year-old said he had bad judgment and was showing off.
