Beaver Dam Man Gets Prison For Flower Shop Burglary

5/17/17 – A Beaver Dam man was sentenced to five years in prison yesterday for breaking into a flower shop and then resisting arrest. Brent Herreman pled guilty to three felony counts of Burglary, Battery to Law Enforcement, and Discharging Bodily Fluids at a Public Safety Worker. In November, Herreman broke into Beaver Floral in Beaver Dam. Police responding to a burglary-in-progress call witnessed the 23-year-old carrying stolen items from the scene including bracelets and a poinsettia. Herreman ran but was apprehended after a brief foot chase. He became aggressive with the arresting officer, spitting in his face, swearing and making death threats. Along with the prison time, Herreman was ordered to serve nine years on extended supervision and must pay over $2,800 dollars in restitution.
