(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam Man was charged Monday with leaving the scene after colliding with a motorcycle. James Juino is facing a felony charge of Hit and Run Involving Injury. A Beaver Dam police officer was dispatched to the crash at the intersection of North Spring Street and Industrial Drive on September 6th. The biker said he had the green light to enter the intersection – but as he did – an SUV turned east and his motorcycle collided with the vehicle. The biker reportedly said the SUV pulled over on Industrial Drive, its driver looked at the damage, then drove away. Shortly after, Juino called authorities and allegedly said he left the scene because his dog was in the vehicle which had no air conditioning. When questioned, the 22-year-old reportedly said a person in the south side of the intersection waived him through to turn east. According to the criminal complaint, Junio said as he turned a motorcycle cut out of the line of traffic that was heading north and into the turning lane. He allegedly said the bike then tried to swerve back and they collided. If convicted, Juino faces no more than nine months behind bars. An initial appearance is scheduled for November 15th.
