Beaver Dam Man Facing Child Porn Charges Arraigned

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man charged with possessing illicit images of children was arraigned this week. Jose Esquivel entered a not guilty plea to two felony counts of Child Pornography.

Dodge County sheriff’s detectives began investigating a cyber tip from Microsoft that a user had illegal content stored amongst their files in November. The account was connected to an address in Beaver Dam were Esquivel lived, according to the complaint. Law enforcement executed a search warrant on November 9th at the address.

During the search, detectives located a computer with an open web browser reportedly displaying child porn. Esquivel allegedly admitted that only he used that computer. He reportedly said he does not search for the images but if something (quote) “pops up” he will watch it.

If convicted, the 80-year-old faces up to 50 years in prison.
