Beaver Dam Man Enters Plea Deal On Battery To A Nurse Charge

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man accused of assaulting hospital staff entered a plea agreement this week. Bradley Toft plead guilty to a felony count of Battery to a Nurse and two misdemeanor charges of Lewd Behavior.

The court found Toft guilty of the two misdemeanors but placed him into a deferred prosecution agreement on the felony, meaning he will avoid a felony record while on two years probation.

Police were dispatched to Marshfield Medical Center – Beaver Dam in January for a report of an unruly patient. Upon arrival, Toft was calm and speaking with officers but he became agitated at random.

According to the complaint, a staff member told police that a relative brought Toft in after he consumed THC edibles and was acting unusual. While at the facility, Toft made inappropriate comments and gestures towards employees.

He also grabbed a razor and attempted to place it close to a nurse’s neck before she backed away.
