(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man charged with threatening police has made his initial appearance in court. Miguel Lopez is facing two felony counts of Threats to a Law Enforcement Officer as well as misdemeanor charges of Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Trespassing and Disorderly Conduct. Overnight Monday (October, 12th), deputies were dispatched to a residence in the Town of Beaver Dam for a domestic incident involving Lopez. Authorities later located Lopez in the City of Beaver Dam. As he was taken into custody, Lopez reportedly struggled with police and threatening to headbutt several officers. He also allegedly kicked an officer in the foot. If convicted, the 25-year-old faces over 14 years in prison. A signature bond was set at $1,000 and a judge will decide next month if there is enough evidence to order a trial.
