Beaver Dam Man Charged With Child Porn Heading To Trial

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man facing a number of charges that he possessed illicit content of children is heading to trial. CJ Brown this week waived his right to preliminary hearing on 10 felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

A Beaver Dam police detective began investigating a CyberTip report in May that a number of illegal images were saved to a Dropbox account. The IP address used to access the account was reportedly tied back to an address in Beaver Dam.

According to the complaint, several devices belonging to Brown were taken during a search warrant executed in August. A web history search of a cellphone allegedly showed that multiple sites containing child porn were visited.

If convicted, the 31-year-old faces up to 250 years in prison. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for January 4th.
