Beaver Dam Man Accused Of Assaulting A Minor Bound Over For Trial

(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam man accused of assaulting a minor was bound over for trial this week. Probable cause was found against Salomon Barrera who is facing felony charges of First-Degree Child Sexual Assault and Repeated Sexual Assault of the Same Child.

The victim’s mother came forward earlier this month (May 12th) and alleged Barrera made inappropriate contact with her daughter about two years ago. The victim, who was approximately nine or 10-years-old at the time, reportedly said Barrera touched her on several occasions. According to the criminal complaint, Barrera admitted to the illegal touching but said nothing more happened.

If convicted, the 24-year-old faces up to 120 years in prison. An arraignment hearing is scheduled for June 15th.
