Beaver Dam Library Purchases More Wellbeing Kits Thanks To BDACF Grant

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Community Library has recently added more kits to their Beyond Books Collection. The ability to purchase is courtesy of $500 dollar grant from the Beaver Dam Area Community Foundation.

The kits contain items focused on the mental and physical wellbeing of patrons. The items will be great for people who are beginning their wellness journey and want to try a new technique or for those who cannot afford them.

Items include light therapy lamps, meditation audio players, and weighted lamp pads. Youth Services Librarian Sam Jones says the library as a community resource is happy to expand their Beyond Books collection to provide items that can positively benefit their patrons.

The library recommends consulting a healthcare provider before using wellness kits as they are limited to one per library card. To view all kits and place one on hold, visit the library’s online catalog at https://search.monarchcatalog.org/ and search for “wellness kits.”
