Beaver Dam Hospital’s Kim Miller Named Top Rural CEO

(Beaver Dam) The CEO of the Beaver Dam Community Hospital was recently recognized as a top rural chief executive officer. Kim Miller has been named to the 2018 list of “50 Rural Hospital CEO’s to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review. The list features CEO’s from across the nation who have overcome significant challenges operating rural and critical access hospitals to lead sustainable and thriving organizations. Miller was selected through an editorial review process that included factors such as awards received; local, regional and national leadership positions held; and their organizations’ recent performance. BDCH board member Jim Kirsh says Miller’s leadership, vision and dedication to the community ensures that the region’s residents have access to safe, high-quality care close to home. Miller joined the hospital as president and CEO in 2006 and Kirsh says over the 12 years since, her proactive approach has allowed the facility to continue to provide exceptional services. Miller also played a crucial role in bringing the BDCH-sponsored Blue Zones Project to Dodge County; Blue Zones is the initiative designed to make healthy choices easier.
