Beaver Dam High School Field House Opening In January

12/14/17 – The Beaver Dam High School field house will be fully operational next month as planned. The athletic facility with five, full-sized basketball courts is part of the $49-million-dollar referendum approved by voters last fall. Superintendent Mark DiStefano says the field house will be open to students after the holiday break and the first public event is slated for Thursday, January 18. The field house, which closely abuts the fence along the south end of the football field and track, will be accessible through a commons area that will be located at the main entrance. The high school’s main entry point is moving from Gould Street to the eastside of the building near what was formerly called the circle parking lot. From the commons area, access is available to not only the field house but also the administrative offices, the performing arts auditorium, the cafeteria and, down a short hallway, the academic wing. The field house in said to be the largest such facility in the state.
