Beaver Dam Girls Cross Country Headed Back To State

The Beaver Dam High School girls cross country team is heading to the state meet in Wisconsin Rapids after winning the Slinger Sectional on Saturday.

The Golden Beavers finished with a meet best 81 points.   Kylie Hackbarth led the way with a 6th place finish in a time of 20:17.9.  Leah Burchardt wasn 9th at 20:34.9.  In 11th place was Mila Westra at 21:02.5, Brooklyn Tonn 19th at 21:45.8, while Corey Gundert rounded out the team scoring with a 36th place finish in 22:30.0.   Jesssica Redman was also 38th at 22:36.8 and Rebecca Rydzewski was 40th at 22:44.7

This will be the Beaver Dam girls 6th trip to state.  The last time was in 2017 when they finished 19th.

Oshkosh West was 2nd at the Sectional with 85 points.

The WIAA State Cross Country Meet is next Saturday in Wisconsin Rapids.

The BDHS Boys were 11th at Slinger.  Boston Damon was the top finisher with a 50th place finish at 18:54.9.  Eli Titus was 63rd, Luke Eberle 67th, Jordan Schroeder 74th, Warrick Gochenauer 75th, and Xavier Ollanketo 76th.
