(Beaver Dam) A Beaver Dam residence was damaged by fire early Saturday morning. Crews were dispatched to the 100 block of Borchard Street at 12:58am for a porch that was on fire. Fire Chief Michael Wesle says the first unit on scene reported fire on the rear porch of the single family home. The blaze was upgraded to a working still alarm, paging in off duty personnel and mutual aid units. Wesle says crews made an aggressive attack and knocked down the main body of fire within minutes of arriving on scene. All mutual aid units were then canceled. The Beaver Dam Fire Department was on scene for around two hours. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
