Beaver Dam Dominates Oregon

The Beaver Dam High School football team dominated all three phases of the game on their way to spoiling Oregon’s Homecoming with a 34-7 win on Friday night.

After forcing a turnover on the 2nd play of the game, Beaver Dam’s offense got it going with a 38-yard touchdown drive, which was capped of by a 2 yard Michael Fox TD run.   A Landon Semrau TD run pushed the Golden Beaver lead to 14-0 in the 2nd quarter.  BDHS went up 21-0 as Kyler Keel blocked an Oregon punt that was scooped up by Leo George and returned one-yard for a touchdown.  Dane Stanul kicked field goals of 27 and 32 yards to give Beaver Dam a 27-0 lead into the halftime locker room.

After a Beaver Dam turnover on the opening drive of the 2nd half, Oregon got on the board when Cameron Gates hit Jeremiah Rockiett on a 22 yard scoring strike.    Camron Mendoza added a 4 yard TD run with 6:48 left in the 4th to wrap up the nigtht’s scoring.

Beaver Dam out gained Oregon 347 to 146.  317 of those yards came on the ground.  Mendoza carried it 42 times for 252 yards and a TD.

Beaver Dam (Overall: 2-6, Badger Large: 2-4) hosts #1 ranked Waunakee (Overalll 8-0, Badger Large: 7-0) next Friday night for Homecoming.  You can hear that game on 1430 ESPN and watch it on DailyDodge TV.
