Beaver Dam Cross Country Ready For Season

Mikayla Smith takes the reigns as the new head girls and boys cross country coach at Beaver Dam High School.    After three years as an assistant coach the Waukesha native takes over a program that saw the girls reach the WIAA State Meet after winning the Slinger Sectional last season.

“We’re coming off of a very successful season last season.  It’s exciting to see the girls are specifially coming in excited from qualifying for state last season.” Smith told DailyDodge.com. “Now they are seeing what they can do when they put in that time and hard work. “ 

Smith replaces PJ Senn who was hired as an assistant cross country coach at NCAA Division III Concordia-Wisconsin.   

Practice starts on Monday.
