Beaver Dam Council Meeting Monday Night

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Common Council is set to meet Monday night. Some of the items on the agenda include an ordinance amending the city’s parking restrictions.

According to the packet, the ordinance will add that parking is prohibited on the south side of Fourth Street from the west line of Beaver Dam Street to a point 530 feet west of the west line of Mary Street.

Resolutions on the docket include authorizing a 2024 community development block grant for public facilities projects. The Wisconsin Department of Administration has awarded the city up to $1-million-dollars to support the Beaver and Front Street utility improvement project. Grant rules stipulate that construction must begin no later than July 1st of next year and be completed no later than October 31st of 2026.

The council will also go in to closed session to consider a developer’s agreement for Premier Crystal Lake Apartments. The common council meeting at city hall, which is located at 205 South Lincoln Avenue, will begin at 7:30pm.
