Beaver Dam Council Has New Alderperson

(Beaver Dam) There is a new alderperson in the city of Beaver Dam. Monica Keel was sworn-in last (Monday) night as the representative in district nine.

Keel, who is an educator with the Beaver Dam School District, says she is an active member of the community who loves to live, work and play in Beaver Dam and is excited about her involvement on the council.

The district nine seat was formerly held by Jaci Shelton, who stepped down from the position in September after moving out of the area.

The district is bordered on the north by Industrial Drive, the west by Grove and De Clark streets, on the east by Spring Street and at the south by Winn Terrace, Cherry Court, Main Street and Jackson Street.

The term runs through April of next year when the seat is up for the full two-year timeframe.
