(Beaver Dam) While the governor’s extended “Safer at Home” order does permit public libraries to conduct curbside pickup, the Beaver Dam Community Library will not be able to comply with the provision. Officials with the library say due to their buildings configuration and the access points to it, they have determined they will not provide curbside services to the community. The library is still closed to the public while virtual programs, remote services and the digital library are available online (www.cityofbeaverdam.com/library/digital). All due dates are being automatically extended until the library reopens and all holds as well as interlibrary loan items remain in place. The Beaver Dam library has also developed service and program models to continue to provide information, education and entertainment needs for their customers. The programs are currently being livestreamed on the library’s Facebook page. Youth Services Librarian Sarah Cournoyer says they are staying up to date on information and guidance from federal and state agencies, local government and health organizations. She says they will continue to update the community when any changes are made.
