Beaver Dam Common Council To Consider Lifting Emergency COVID Declaration

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Common Council tonight will consider lifting the emergency declaration issued for the pandemic, terminating the mayor’s emergency powers. The agenda item was added after Administrative Committee Chair Jaci Shelton criticized the mayor last month for requiring all council members to return to city hall but not requiring masks. Glewen says there’s no way of knowing if people have had the vaccine and individuals are making the mask choice for themselves. The common council meets at 7:30pm at city hallthe public has a video conferencing option.
