Beaver Dam Man Charged For Throwing Pie and Spitting In Deputy’s Face

(Beaver Dam) Cash bond was set at $2,500 Monday for a Beaver Dam man accused of throwing a pie and spitting into a deputy’s face. Mark Gallagher was charged with felony Resisting an Officer and Bail Jumping as well as misdemeanor charges of Criminal Damage to Property and Disorderly Conduct. On April 12, a Dodge County Sheriff’s deputy was asked to assist a property owner with an eviction on Elm Street in Beaver Dam. According to the criminal complaint, Gallagher had a belligerent attitude and when he attempted to re-enter the home the deputy told him to leave. That was when Gallagher allegedly reached for a pie and threw it at the deputy which struck him in the face. Gallagher also grabbed the deputy’s glasses and allegedly threw them off the porch while he was being arrested. While in handcuffs, the 22-year-old reportedly spat directly into the deputy’s face and eyes. If convicted on all charges, Gallagher is facing over 12 years in prison.
