Beaver Dam Chamber Hosting Candidates Forum Wednesday Night

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce is hosting a debate tonight with the candidates in contested races for city council and school board. Panelists confirmed include the contenders in Aldermanic Ward Three where incumbent Jon Abfall is being challenged by Doug Garczinski; Ward Five where Betsy Ramsdale is challenging incumbent Mick Fischer; and Ward Seven which pits incumbent Robert Ballweg against Jack Yuds. The ballots in Ward Nine will have two candidates listed but one has dropped out of the race: Mike Derr bowed out leaving Jaclyn Shelton to run unopposed. Four of the five candidates for Beaver Dam school board will be participating: incumbents Bev Beal-Loeck and Chad Prieve along with challengers Bradley Friedl and Tony Klatt. Incumbent Jim Jansen will not be in attendance. The format allows for opening and closing statements, questions from the media, questions from the public and questions among the candidates. The Beaver Dam Chamber of Commerce Spring Election Candidates Forum will be held tonight from 7pm to 8:30pm at the Veteran’s Center at 300 Beichl Avenue. It will be broadcast live on 95.3 WXRO and video streamed at DailyDodge.com.
