Beaver Dam Boys Ride Two Game Win Streak Into Badger Challenge

The Beaver Dam boys basketball (Overall: 4-8 Badger North: 2-5) team rides a two game winning streak into Saturday’s Badger Conference Challenge matchup with Watertown at Edgewood on Saturday morning.   After a handful of close losses in league play, Tim Ladron’s squad picked up their 1st league win at Portage 68-41 on January 9th.  BD followed that up with an impressive 85-48 home win over Baraboo on January 16th.  Junior Nate Abel continues to lead the team in scoring at 22ppg.  Senior Broden Boschert (16ppg) and sophomore Ty Bunkoske (12ppg) also average in double figures for Beaver Dam.

Coach Ladron says that he’s very happy with where his young team is at this season and getting a couple of wins has been great for the squad’s confidence.  He adds that he’s happy with his team’s offensive output and the defense has improved as the year has gone along.

Beaver Dam and Watertown will tip off at 11am on Saturday at Edgewood High School.  The two former Wisconsin Little Ten Conference foes met in last year’s Badger Challenge at Waunakee with the Beavers picking up the 54-45 victory.
