Beaver Dam Boys Host Slinger Tonight In Regional Semifinal

The Beaver Dam boys basketball team hosts Slinger tonight for a WIAA Division One Regional Semifinal matchup.

Beaver Dam (16-7) earned the first round playoff bye as the #1 seed in their Regional Bracket.  After an 11-0 start the Golden Beavers have split their last 10 games going five and five.  Senior Nate Abel leads Beaver Dam in scoring at 26.3 points per game.  That’s the 11th best in the state of Wisconsin.  Junior Ty Bunkoske (13.1) and Brady Helbing (10.5) also average in double figures for the Golden Beavers.

Slinger (7-16) earned a trip to the Regional Semifinals with 72-48 win over Hartford in their playoff opener on Tuesday night.  The Owls finished up North Shore Conference plat at 5-13 which was good for 8th place in the ten team league.  Senior Derek Erdmann leads Slinger in scoring at 11.7 points per game.

The Beavers and Owls last met on November 24trh, 2018 in the 2018-19 season opener with BD picking up the 52-35 win.
