Beaver Dam Boys Hockey Wins Share Of Badger East Crown!

The Beaver Dam High School boys hockey team grabbed a piece of the Badger East Conference title with a 5-1 win at McFarland on Friday night. 

The Beavers jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first period on goals by Aiden Root (:35) and Bradyn Strachota (15:25).  Alex Woods added a 2nd period goal at 5:46 to head to the final 17 minutes up 3-1.  Evan Burchardt (9:35 PP) and Jacob Lont (11:28) put the finishing touches on the win with scores in the 3rd

Henry Vick 19 collected saves to earn the win between the pipes for BD.  The Golden Beavers outshot McFarland 46-20 on the night.

The Golden Beavers (Overall: 16-5-1, Badger East 11-1) share the league title with Waunakee as both teams delt each other their lone league loss with road wins this season to finish with 22 points.

The victory secures the first conference championship in program history.

Beaver Dam will travel to Marquette on Tuesday night for a non-conference match at 7pm.
