Beaver Dam Boys Hockey Heads Sectionals Tonight

For the 1st time in 15 years the Beaver Dam boys hockey team (17-7-2) will be heading to the WIAA Division One Sectional.k   Tonight the Golden Beavers head to the Fox Valley to face Neenah (17-7-1) at the Community First Champions Center.  The Golden Beavers won their 1st Regional championship since 2005 with a 6-3 win at Fond d Lac last Thursday night.

Beaver Dam comes into tonight’s Sectional Semifinal having won seven games in a row. During that stretch the Golden Beavers have averaged over seven goals per game and given up an average of just 2.5 goals.

Neenah advanced to the Sectional with a 3-2 win over Ashwaubenon last week.  The Rockers finished 3rd in the Badgerland Conference behind St. Mary’s Springs and Fond du Lac.   Last season Neenah was the Division One State Runner-Up after losing the State Championship Game 6-2 to University School at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison.

You can hear tonight’s game on 1430 WBEV.  Pregame coverage begins at 6:45pm with the puck set to drop at 7pm.
