Beaver Dam Boys Fall In OT

Sauk Prairie sent the Beaver Dam boys basketball team to their 5th straight loss in overtime 60-54 on Saturday night at the BDHS Fieldhouse.  The Golden Beavers led 33-31 at the break on Broden Boschert’s layup as time expired.  Offense was hard to come by in the 2nd half as Sauk Prairie only connected on seven field goals while BD found the bottom of the net just five times from the floor as they went to OT tied at 48.  In the extra frame Sauk Prairie doubled up the Beavers 12-6 to claim the six point road win. On the night both teams hit on 10 three pointers.  Senior Broden Boschert had a pair of those from beyond the arc to finish with a game high 19 points.  Ty Bunkoske drilled five triples to finish with 17.  Brady Helbing buried 3 from three-point land to finish with 11 points.  Brandt Wilson and Parker Breunig each finished with 15 to pace Sauk Prairie.  The loss drops Beaver Dam to 2-8 overall an 0-5 in Badger North play.  Sauk Prairie improves to 3-5 on the season and 2-3 in league play.  Beaver Dam will look for their 1st Badger North win on Thursday night when they head to Portage.
