Beaver Dam Bowling Update

The Beaver Dam high school bowling teams completed week 2 of 6th District competition on Sunday November 12th at Hering’s Fish Bowl in Lake Mills.  The boys and girls teams faced off against each other in Match 1 with the boys coming out victorious. The girls took an early lead at 2 games to one, but the boys answered with 5 straight wins to claim the match 6-3.

Match 2, the boys beat Mayville 7 games to 2 to sit atop the district with a 4-0 record. Sophomore Garrett Boettcher had a huge day with all 18 clean frames vs Mayville, catapulting him into the top 10 in the district in individual frame fill rate.

The girls, once again, found themselves in a tight one against Oconomowoc in match 2. Coming down to the final game with the match on the line tied 4-4, senior Alexis Vande Kolk and junior Sophia Rudie again came through in the clutch with back to back strikes in the 9th and 10th frames to take the match. The Beaver Dam girls set atop the girls division with a 3-1 record.

The season continues December 3rd at Cardinal Lanes in Mayville. The girls face off against division foes Watertown Girls and Lomira Girls. The boys have Columbus and Oconomowoc and look to continue their run at perfection.
