Beaver Dam Approves Zoning Change For Multi-Family Apartment Complex

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Common Council Monday night approved a change in zoning for a new residential apartment complex on the north side of the city. The multi-million-dollar project would consist of four, six and eight-unit single-story buildings totaling 82-apartments spread out over 12-acres. The property was zoned single-family residential but is now multi-family residential. The vote was nine-to-four with one abstention. Two people spoke in opposition to the rezoning, both were from the nearby Shady Oaks subdivision in the township. The developers hope to close on the property next month and immediately begin construction.
