2/17/17 – The November passing of a $48.9-million-dllar referendum will include updating the security at 7 elementary schools in Beaver Dam. Work will include adding double doors plus updating the offices. Superintendent Steve Vessey says that all but two schools will be finished this summer. Vessey says the timeline is very tight and the district told the public only one school year would be disrupted by construction and the proper steps need to be taken to deliver on that promise. The preliminary timeline developed has the renovations complete in mid-August of 2018, leaving a ten-day cushion.
