(Beaver Dam) Beaver Dam Unified School District buildings and grounds remain closed through June 30th. District Communications Officer Nicole White says the recent Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling overturning the Safer at Home order specifically excluded the section of the order that called for school closure for purposes of instruction and extra co-curricular activities. She says summer school will be held virtually this year with the possibility of face-to-face instruction later in the summer if it is deemed safe and appropriate. Summer School starts July 6th and goes through July 31st, Monday through Friday. White says their focus remains on student health and safety. She adds that they will continue to consult with Dodge County Public Health officials and refer to relevant DHS guidance when making any place involving students. More information about summer school plans will be made available this coming week.
