(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School Board Monday night approved the findings of an audit of district finances during the previous school year. Auditors with Baker Tilly says the district received a clean bill of health, securing an “unmodified opinion” which is the highest form of assurance an entity can receive. The General Fund totals just over $40-million. The goal was to increase the General Fund balance by $58-thousand; the district exceeded that goal by increasing the fund by $251-thousand dollars. The district has $4.7-million dollars in reserves, which at ten-percent of the General Fund is in the recommended range.
