(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam School Board unanimously approved the adoption of the district safety drills report at a recent meeting. District Facilities and Safety Officer Pete Woreck says it needs to be updated every three years.
“The last approval was 11, July of 2022,” says Woreck. “So, you’re up again in 2025 for an approval so there should be some of my recommendations coming in a few years.”
Woreck sought approval of the school violence drills.
“Once [Superintendent] Mark [DiStefano] signs them and the board president signs them, I will upload them into the SharePoint.”
Woreck says the school safety plan training was done in August. He adds that the local law enforcement’s on-site safety assessment in each district building will be done during Spring break.
