BD’s Nelson Finishes 7th At Drive, Chip & Putt Nationals

Beaver Dam’s McKenna Nelson had the chance to compete in the Drive, Chip, & Putt National Finals at August National, home of The Masters this past weekend.  Nelson finished tied for 7th in the Girls 10-11 age group.

Nelson hammered a drive of 230.1 yards, which was 2nd longest in her age group.  She also had a chip withing 3 feet, 2 inches of the hole and made a putt of 8 feet, 5 inches.

The Beaver Dam Middle School student qualified for the national finals by winning a Upper Midwest Regional competition in Minnesota last fall.
