BD’s Abel & Marshall’s Ward Named A.P. All-State

A pair of area high school boys basketball players have been recognized on the Associated Press All-State squad for the 2020-21 season.

Beaver Dam senior Nate Abel has been named High Honorable Mention. That honor is bestowed upon a player who received votes but not enough to be named to one of the top four teams.  Abel averaged 26.4 points per game this season for the Golden Beavers and became the schools single season and career scoring leader.  He will play college basketball at NCAA Division Two Michigan Tech

Marshall senior Craig Ward received Honorable Mention All-State recognition.  Ward averaged just under 19 points per game this season for the Cardinals and was named the Capitol South Conference Player of the Year.
