BDPD Deliver Supplies, Money To Those Affected By Kentucky Tornadoes

(Beaver Dam) The Beaver Dam Police Department says their “Fill the Truck” fundraiser was a success. The effort supported those affected by the severe weather and tornadoes that ripped through Kentucky in December.

Beaver Dam Police Department Charities Inc. says the community really stepped up to help those in need. They say on top of the many items they received, over $4,500 was raised which will be given to a reputable charity who will disperse the money.

Volunteers who drove the truck of supplies down to Kentucky last month were also able to stop at the police and fire departments in Beaver Dam, Kentucky for a patch swap.

The police department thanked Pine Hill Insurance Services for funding a majority of the U-Haul rental and Habitat for Humanity Restore in Beaver Dam for large donations of towels, cleaning supplies, and books. Beaver Dam Piggly Wiggly also organized a round-up effort in the weeks leading up to the delivery.
