10/7/17 – Beaver Dam Police Chief John Kreuziger is encouraging parents not to serve alcohol to minors at homecoming parties this weekend. Kreuziger told us yesterday on WBEV’s Community Comment parents who supply alcohol can find themselves subject to a citation for Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor which could be bumped up to a criminal offense if an injury occurs. A parent in that situation could also open themselves up to lawsuit. If there is a disturbance caused, the chief says parents could get issued Disorderly Conduct as a Party to a Crime. Kreuziger says its just best off not to serve alcohol because you truly do not know whats going to happen when you mix alcohol with minors. The Beaver Dam High School Homecoming Dance is tonight.
