BDHS Powerlifters Must Wait A Bit Longer For Nationals

Coming off a great performance at the Wisconsin State Powerlifting Meet earlier this month in the Fox Valley, the Beave Dam High School powerlifting team will have to wait a bit longer before heading to nationals.  At the state meet three Golden Beavers collected podium finishes.   Ariana Guerra was 1st in Women’s Equipped SHWT, Nate Jansen was third at 67.5K and Nick Ludowese was 2nd at 110K.

The USA Powerlifting 2020 High School Nationals was scheduled for later this month, but because of COVID-19 has been moved to June 30th to July 2nd.   The seven BDHS student-athletes who qualified for the national meet were; Victor Torres, Braedan Bowman, Nick Ludowese, Ariana Guerra , Adam Chase, Nathan Jansen, and Truman Leisses.  Of those seven, head coach Bill Nowak says that Guerra, Chase and Jansen plan on heading Killeen, Texas for the nationals.  Guerra was the national runner-up in her weight class last year.
