Beaver Dam High School has named Ross Damon as their new boys tennis coach. Damon, a technology education teacher, has been an assistant for both the Golden Beaver boys’ and girls’ tennis team. Before coming to BDHS, he spent 5 years as an assistant coach at Edgewood High School in Madison. Damon played tennis growing in McFarland, Wisconsin and qualified for the 2011 WIAA State Boys Tennis Tournament in doubles. Damon tells DailyDodge.com that he’s excited to be named head coach and that he’s excited to have the opportunity to lead the Golden Beavers program. Damon says that once they get going later this spring, he hopes his team can work hard and finish in the upper half of the Badger North Conference. He adds that he also wants to help grow tennis by getting more youth exposed to the sport in our area.
