BDHS Girls Soccer Looks To Improve

The Beaver Dam High School’s girls soccer team has a new leader as they roll through their 2022 season.   2016 BDHS grad Brandi Paredes took over the program in 2022.  She has coached at the club level in Verona and is also currently the Associate Head Women’s Soccer Coach at Madison College.

“I just want them to develop and learn a lot. The game is ever-changing, so I always have new playing styles.” Paredes told DailyDodge.com. “Soccer seems to be a lot more quick-paced of a game so I’m trying to teach the girls a lot more about structure and discipline.”

Parades also says that she wants to develop players skills at the lower levels so they can really focus more on the game when they get to the varsity level.  “When they come up to the varsity level I can just teach that structure and discipline that we need, and we can be right up there with the Waunakee’s and Sauk Prairie’s and DeForest’s and all of those big teams.  I want to compete hard against those players.”

The Golden Beavers are off to a 0-2-1 start with losses to Waterford and DeForest and a draw with Baraboo.
