3/15/12 – A portion of the proceeds from the Beaver Dam Area Arts Association’s Third Annual Book Sale will be going toward youth art scholarships. The Association’s Executive Director Karla Jensen says she is frequently approached by parents and teachers who have a talented child that is unable to afford the Association’s art classes or other programs, like their Week of Art which starts Monday at Moraine Park Technical College or the Art-drenalin Youth Art Camp at the YMCA in June. The Book Sale runs 10am to 8pm Thursday and Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturday. It’s in a new location this year in the Park Village Shopping Mall 820 Park Avenue, directly across from Shopko, in the storefront between Cost-Cutters and Preferred Realty. The Arts Association will accept book donations at the sale; books should no longer be dropped off at Brian French Realty. Best sellers at are available for $2, hardcover books, CDs and DVDs are $1 and everything else is 50-cents.
