BD Wildfire 12U Girls Hockey Wins Back To Back State Titles

The Beaver Dam Wildfire 12U youth girls hockey team won their 2nd straight Wisconsin Amateur Hockey Association B Division State Championship on Sunday with a 6-1 win over Washington County at the Champion Ice Center in Appleton.   Brenna Rhodes scored all six Wildfire goals with Hailey Lathrop and Addy Mueller picking up assists.  Lathrop notched the win saving 12 of the 13 shots that she faced.

The Beavers advanced to the championship game with a 2-0 victory over Coulee Region on Saturday night.   Rhodes scored both Wildfire goals while Lathrop turned away all 13 shots she saw to earn a state tournament shutout patch.

In the Quarterfinal on Saturday morning the Wildfire blanked Chippewa/ECA 10-0.  Rhodes scored five goals while Macy Damon lit the lamp twice. Olivia Bates, Paige Tratar and Olivia Stephens also scored for the Wildfire. Damon, Greenlee Hrbosky and Amelia Johnson added assists in the win.  Hailey Lathrop knocked away all seven shots she saw in the quarterfinal matchup.

The Wildfire wraps up their season at 30-13-2.

The 12U State Championship also wraps up a season that saw Wildfire girls hockey win WAHA B state titles at the 10U, 12U and 14U levels.

Members of the 12U Wildfire include; Olivia Stephens, Piper Johnson, Addisyn Mueller, Brenna Rhodes, Alanna Hanni, Emma Phelps, Macy Damon, Zoe Ruis, Paige Tratar, Serena Dominguez, Amelia Johnson, Hailey Lathrop, Greenlee Hrbosky, and Olivia Bates.
