BD & Waupun Boys Hockey Play Regional Finals Tonight

The Beaver Dam High School boys hockey team heads to the Cornerstone Ice Arena in Ashwaubenon tonight for a WIAA Regional Final against Notre Dame Academy.

Beaver Dam (17-7) advanced to tonight’s matchup with a 3-0 win over Sheboygan at the Family Center on Tuesday night. Henry Vick had 33 saves to register his 6th shutout of the season.  Notre Dame (15-5) is the #1 seed in the Sectional and had a first round bye.  The Tritons are ranked #3 in the latest Wisconsin Prep Hockey Division One rankings.

The puck drops at 7:15pm tonight.  The winner moves on to the Sectional Semifinals on Tuesday, February 22nd for a matchup with either Fond du Lac or Bay Port.

Waupun(7-14)  is a #7 seed in their WIAA Division Two Sectional. The Warriors will open up their postseason tonight when they travel to #2 seed Oregon (15-9) for a Regional Final.  Oregon is ranked #6 in the Wisconsin Prep Hockey Division Two rankings.   The puck drops in Oregon tonight at 7pm.

The Beaver Dam girls hockey team will open up playoff action on Friday night when they travel to the Viroqua co-op at 7pm.
