A Beaver Dam man has been charged with burglarizing Edith’s Cake and Catering. Kevin Huettner is accused of using his sister’s access code to enter the Beaver Dam restaurant twice in February and stealing $600 cash. Authorities say they have video surveillance footage of the 24-year-old rifling through the cash register of the business co-owned by his mother. Huettner is also facing charges for allegedly stealing business checks and forging $8000 in fraudulent checks. He also reportedly stole personal checks from his mother and emptied a bank account of $2300. All the money said to be used to support a heroin habit. Huettner had a signature bond set at $1000 yesterday and a preliminary hearing is on the calendar next month.
