BD Legion Pounds Port Washington

An 11-run first inning lifted the Beaver Dam Post 146 White Construction American Legion baseball team to a 16-1, 5 inning victory over Port Washington on Tuesday night at the BDHS Diamond.    Every member of Post 146 reached base in the game, as they collected 14 hits in their home opener.   

Bradley Wendorf doubled and drove in four to lead the BD offense.  Kelin Schmuhl added a 2×3 day with 3 RBI, while Eli Johnson was 4×4 with 2 RBI and 4 runs scored.   Jaxon Ladron also drove in a pair for Post 146.

Ladron gave up one run on two hits and struck out five over three innings to earn the win.  Joe DiStefano struck out a pair in two, scoreless, hitless frames.

Beaver Dam (4-0) is scheduled to head to Watertown on Wednesday night if the weather permits.  The first pitch is set for 8pm.

The Beaver Dam JV squad picked up a 12-4 win at St. Mary’s Springs on Tuesday night.  Brock Hiley and Abe Wilke each drove in two runs for Post 146.
