The Beaver Dam boys hockey team saw their season come to an end on Tuesday with a 7-3 loss to Appleton United in the opening round of the WIAA Division One Hockey Tournament at the Family Center.
Beaver Dam led 1-0 after the first 17:00 minutes on the back of a goal by Gavin Hearley. United scored five times in the 2nd period including four on the power play to bust the game open. Ian Colin and Wes Biel each lit the lamp in the first four minutes of the third period to make it 5-3 but Appleton added two more to put the game away.
Appleton United (8-15-2) will travel to 4th ranked Notre Dame on Thursday while Beaver Dam’s season ends at 9-10.
