The Beaver Dam boys hockey team (Overall: 10-7-2, Badger North: 4-3-1) is back home tonight as they host Madison LaFollette/East in a non-conference match at the Family Center Ice Arena. The Golden Beavers look to snap a four-game winless streak after dropping a pair of matches and also settling for a pair of ties. BD sits in 3rd place in the Badger North Conference with nine points. Waunakee leads the league with 14 points while Sauk Prairie is 2nd at 12. Senior Ben Cremers leads Beaver Dam in scoring with 40 points (17G, 23A) while junior Riley VanderHoeven is right behind him with 39 (25G, 14A).
LaFollette/East (Overall: 2-17-1, Badger South: 1-11) comes to Beaver Dam having dropped two straight. The Lakers sit seventh in the Badger South Conference. Sophomore Inde Abresch (9G, 5A) is the only member of the Lakers with double-digit points at 14.
The Golden Beavers and Lakers will meet for the first time since January 8th, 2016 when BD picked up an 11-0 win at the Family Center. Giovanni Mueller scored four goals to pace the Beaver Dam offensive attack, while Adam Lindeman collected seven saves to register the shutout win.
