Washington County Man Arrested For Firing Shotgun At Pizza Delivery Driver

(Barton) Washington County authorities arrested a suspect Wednesday evening for firing a shotgun at a pizza delivery driver. Deputies received a report that a 46-year-old West Bend woman was shot at while attempting to drop off the pizza at a property in the town of Barton.

The investigation revealed that a 32-year-old Barton man ordered the food but accidentally fired the shotgun upon the deliverer’s arrival. He is facing charges of First-Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Operating a Firearm while Intoxicated.

Washington County Sheriff Martin Schulteis says the suspect’s recent pattern of behavior is extremely concerning and they are working diligently to hold him accountable. Schulteis adds their thoughts go out to the victim as she processes this traumatic event.
